John Wunderlich :: Blog :: Bob Barr is running

April 27, 2008

I believe that Bob Barr is an acceptable alternative to the three establishment, big government candidates. I would be interested to hear what others are thinking. We need to continue the mission and Barr might be the best path to do that now.

  1. First thing I noticed is that his site was done by the same individual that did Ron Paul's site.

  2. It would be nice if the Libertarian Party could have as nice of a web-site as Bob Barr's campaign site.  ...Seriously, I can't stand most Libertarians and could never work with one of their candidates, even if he was a good man, as Bob Barr appears to be.

  3. John, I think you should read these, before considering to support Bob Barr -

    Barr to Join ACLU

I don't think this should sit well with you or any other Conservative.

  4. James, You know that I do not like the ACLU in any way, shape, or form. I also knew that Barr had some relationship with them even as I posted here and on FireSociety. I mentioned that there is some connection of his to the ACLU there. That said I still can't stomach the idea of voting for McCain unless he gets right (double meaning intended) on issues such as interior enforcement and campaign finance.  Chuck Baldwin, founding pastor of the Cross Roads Baptist Church, Pensacola, Florida is running on the Constitution Party ticket. I believe SovereignMan knows more than I do about that party and him. I know that Baldwin is on the right side of most of the issues we care about.

  5. John, of course I know you do not like the ACLU.  ...Someone told me that Barr joined the ACLU and so I did some searching on it to find out if it was true.  Then I made the comment here.

Chuck Baldwin is certainly a better choice.  I doubt the campaign can have much impact, but if he is on the ballot in my state, I will consider voting for him.

  6. Hey guys.  Yes, I am supporting the Constitution Party nominee Chuck Baldwin this fall.  There is no way I can vote for McAmnesty.  If you look at the positions he represents it is very much like we all call for post after post.  He is very in tune with the illegal immigration/north american union/nafta superhighway issue.  Also, he has called for not only discontinuing funding of the UN but also moving them out of New York City and across the pond somewhere!!!
