John Savage :: Blog :: Don’t Let Anyone Tell You Amnesty-With-A-Fine Is Tough!

November 12, 2007

In this article, Randall Burns demonstrates that the fair market value of a green card is close to $100,000. I’m sure we all know instinctively that being part of the greatest country on earth is worth a lot, but many don’t stop to think.

This is an argument you can use anytime someone tries to tell you that amnesty with a $5,000 fine is a "tough" immigration policy. It’s similar to a thief stealing a $100,000 item and then saying, "I’ll make you a deal: I’ll pay you $5,000 if you let me keep this!"

Every candidate now says, "I oppose amnesty," but remember that many of them think, "if they have to pay a fine, it’s not amnesty." In fact, some of their online supporters are out to convince the voters that amnesty-with-a-fine is not amnesty. But not Tom Tancredo! Tom will stand against all amnesty!

I look forward to meeting everyone!

"It’s your culture, fight for it!" – Tom Tancredo
