  3. James,

You probably already know about this excerpt from the teamtancredo site, but it could be a think tanc idea--how to get Tom an extended interview with Lou Dobbs, or an eventual endorsement from Lou.

    Karen

The Following is a transcript from CNN's Lou Dobbs, aired over the weekend.  He is talking with Diana West from the Washington Times and Errol Louis from New York Daily News:

WEST: I think it's a very good issue for him, and I think that it focuses people on this issue in a very clear way. Down in my neck of the woods, we just had a recent poll in Virginia, which going to be a very hotly-contested state, said that three-quarters of the likely voters in Virginia consider immigration to be one of the most important issues in the upcoming elections, up from seventh out of 10 the last time they looked at this issue so people are coming into focus here and he's helping that.

LOUIS: He's banking on people not going for the real thing in Tancredo, you know? But there are far more aggressive voices that have a real history on this so he's ...

    WEST: Tancredo should get that.

DOBBS: I'm thrilled that you have said that he is the real thing.

WEST: I think he's the real thing.

  4. Karen, yes, I have heard about these positive comments from Lou Dobbs.  I think it is kind of an unofficial endorsement.  Smile  I think it would be great to see Lou Dobbs interview Tom.

  5. There are MANY great people who respect Tom up to the point that they would actually make a point of stating it... the problem is that they wouldn't state it PUBLICLY. Shockingly, America has much LESS of free thought and free speech then we though she has. American people are more eagerly shying away from their true stands by saying "I don't know"... It is scary.

  6. I was watching Lou Dobbs when this was said. I was very happy that they considered Tom to be real on the immigration issue. Being authentic on this issue is almost as rare as it is for most politicians to tell the truth on any contraversial issue. This is a great honor, an honor that most of Lou's viewers that day and weekend did not miss, or misunderstand.
